18 month check up
Carsyn had her 18 month check up on Monday. I really can not say that it was a well visit. Of course she was sick with Hand Foot and Mouth. Poor thing. She got a great report though. How we love Dr Newton! Her stats
Weight 21 pounds 15 oz. (10th percentile)
Height 32 inches (50th percentile)
Head 17.4 inches (5 percentile)
She look cubby that to us but that is because her sister is so long and thin. He was very happy with her development and speech. With that said he did say and I quote, "You have your hands full with this one!" Don't we know that! He agreed with us that she is very sweet and has a very outgoing personality, which can also get her in a little bit of trouble! She always has us laughing and crying, sometimes at the exact same time!
My dearest Carsyn, you wake up with a smile and fall asleep each night with one on your face! We are so lucky that God has allowed us to raise you! We learn so much from you each minute of each day!

Neighborhood Egg Hunt
Today our neighborhood had a little egg hunt at the park. We were a little nervous about going for two reasons
1) Carsyn is sick
2) Callie is pretty scared of big crowds and she always ends of crying and we end up frustrated with her
We had a great time! Carsyn was happy but not all over the place like she would have been if she felt 100% so I could actually manage her.
Callie was not shy and even introduced herself to some of the kids in the neighborhood. She did have some tears at first when all the kids went running for the eggs but she was ok. She went down the slide twice and LOVED it! We are so excited about when the Easter Bunny comes to our house!

Disney on Ice
Today we got treated to a wonderful performance. Gigi, Kristen, Spencer, Callie and I went to see Disney on Ice. It was really good. The kids loved it. Spencer was as intrested as Callie. I think they both held their breath the whole performance. The best part of the day was when we were all sitting and Callie said," Mommy did you know that Lady Gaga is coming to Dallas? Can I go?" To this comment Spencer says ,"Lady Gaga!!" We all looked at each other. Sure enough we look up and see the sign about the upcoming concert. It made us all laugh!
Thank you Gigi for such a wonderful day full of memories!

Trip #2 Mimi and Paw's house
For our second adventure we went to OK. Chris was not able to make the trip because he had to go to Arkansas to see about a possible job change. We had so much fun but we missed him so much! Mimi and Paw had a wonderful gift for the girls. They both got an American Girl surprise. Callie got a real big girl doll that she named Emma. Carsyn got twin babies that she named Lily and Landry. The girls have not let those dolls out of their sight since. We had such a great visit and we were all spoiled beyond belief! We even got to see Matthew and JR. The kids had so much fun playing together!

Doughnuts with Dad
Chris had Doughnuts with Dad with both the girls this week. I got a great picture of Carsyn but I forgot to send the camera the day it was Callie's turn. I tried to get a picture from the one her teacher took. It is not the best but you will get the idea. They were also supposed to dress up for Western Day. They both love their Daddy so much. They are so lucky to get to spend so much time with him.
This is what Callie wrote about her Daddy.
He is as handsome as a prince.
He is as strong as a football player.
His favorite thing to do is play with me and Carsyn.
I wish my daddy woud dance with me each day!
Love that!!!
First Trip on Spring Break
Our first stop this Spring Break was to see Chris' grandparents. We drove 5 hours there and 5 hours home all in one day. The girls acted very good! They were a little shy at first but warmed up very well! We had so much fun! Granny and Gran daddy have been through a lot this year. We love them so much!

Happy Birthday Chris
Day at the Park
Chris took a day off work on Tuesday and I met them at the park. The kids had such a great time and I was glad to have another hand to help. Beware of the clothes because Daddy dressed them all by himself.Chris is giving Callie a lesson in how to pump on the swing.
She finally did it!
Catching a ride from Daddy!
Whatever Callie does Carsyn is following right behind her!
I love this picture. I am going to be registering Callie for Kindergarten at the beginning of April. I love that she is already wearing her school name!

I showed you Mommy!
When Callie was a little girl we never had to baby proof anything. We only had to tell her no once and she would never touch a thing. Well, that is not the case with Carsyn. We have a baby gate at the top of our stairs and at the bottom. Last week I was upstairs with Carsyn and the gate was closed. I always check it when I shut it. I was in the media room working and I am calling for Carsyn over and over since it was silent. All of a sudden I hear her but it sounds far away. Well, some how she had figured out how to open the gate and climbed down the stairs. Wow!
